PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous operation when simultaneously switching off a plurality of selection switches for selecting OCB mode liquid crystal source lines. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises a plurality of source lines SL, a plurality of display pixels PX connected to one of the plurality of the source lines SL, a source driver DSL for successively outputting common non-video signals Vbk to the plurality of the source lines SL and respective independent video signals Vp to the plurality of the source lines SL, a selection switch circuit CSW connected between the plurality of the source lines SL and the source driver DSL, and a controller CTR for controlling the source driver DSL and the selection switch circuit CSW. The controller CTR supplies the non-video signal Vbk output from the source driver DSL to the plurality of the source lines SL in parallel, and the liquid crystal display device controls the selection switch circuit so as to mutually deviate supply end timing of the non-video signal Vbk between the source lines.
