PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preform cooling device which can cool a preform fully effectively, and sufficiently inhibit or prevent the infliction of localized damage to the preforms on the mutual contact of the preforms being adjacently conveyed as it remains imperfectly cooled. SOLUTION: Moisture is atomized to the preform 34 being conveyed through a specified conveyance route 42, then a stream of cooling liquid is sprayed, and further, a gas stream is sprayed to the preform 34.
