<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent freezing of water in a fuel cell under a cold condition without further consuming energy. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell includes an electrolyte layer 20, electrodes 21, 22 sandwiching the electrolyte layer 20, gas passage formation parts 23, 24 arranged outside the electrodes 21, 22 and forming a gas flow passage for supplying/exhausting to/from the electrodes 21, 22, and gas separators 25, 26 arranged outside the gas passage formation parts 23, 24 and constituting a part of wall surface of the gas flow passage. A crystal growth suppressing material suppressing ice crystal growth from liquid water is provided at least in one of the electrodes 21, 22, the gas passage formation parts 23, 24, the wall surfaces of the gas separators 25, 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
