An apparatus and a method for providing an image according to an event are provided to output various events and logs in the form of an image and satisfy user's sensitivity through image processing corresponding to an event. A search module(230) searches for content images according to events. An output module(240) outputs the searched content image on a screen. If there is a content image corresponding to the event, a cartoon image is provided as the content image, and the cartoon image is managed in a library such that various kinds of images are provided by the events. At least one of cartoon images and event information linked with the cartoon images is arranged in the form of image blocks in order of time on a horizontal axis or a vertical axis of the screen.
