PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection method for a mobile station of high detection precision, on a radio communication network comprising the mobile station and at least one base station. SOLUTION: Distances (mobile station-to-base station distance) between the mobile station 1 and the base station 2 respectively in the first and second sampling time points are calculated, based on radio wave propagation delay times 34 of the mobile station 1 and the base station 2, in a distance detecting step S44, by executing steps S44-S46 in the first and second sampling time points. Time-serial changes are integration-processed as to acceleration and an azimuth obtained in the step S45, in a time-serial change detecting step S46, so as to detect a moving distance and a moving direction between the first and second sampling time points. A position of the mobile station 1 is detected, based on the mobile station-to-base station distances in the mobile station 1 and the base station 2 respectively in the first and second sampling time points, and the moving distance and the moving direction between the first and second sampling time points, in the step S47.
