The value of a pilot signal extracted from a received signal is divided by the known value (s<SUB>m, n</SUB>) of the pilot signal to obtain a characteristic value of a transmission line (3). By detecting that a Fourier transform timing has changed (5), according to this detection result, an interpolation or a selection in the time direction is carried out using the characteristic value of the transmission line as original data so as to generate interpolation data (4). When the Fourier transform timing is changed, the decoding error probability after equalization decreases, thereby increasing the reception performance. |
