<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC module for an IC card used as both contact/non-contact types wherein all necessary inspections including a portion conductive to an antenna coil can be carried out just by contacting an inspection device from a surface, eliminating a part conductive to the antenna coil from the outside after mounting in a card body, and having no danger of damaging a function as a non-contact card. <P>SOLUTION: The IC module for the IC card used as both contact/non-contact types is provided with a base material 11 with an IC chip 12 mounted on one face, and having an external connection terminal 14 capable of being conductive to an external apparatus by contact, and conductively joined to the IC chip on another face, an antenna connection terminal 13a formed on the IC chip mounted face of the base material, and capable of connecting the IC chip 12 and an integrated antenna of a card body, and a conducting part 13 connecting the external apparatus and the antenna integrated in the card body to provide conduction for carrying out non-contact communication.
