<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microbe-immobilized carrier for treating water, the water treatment efficiency of which is improved by making coarse a cell of a foamed body constituting the microbe-immobilized carrier for treating water and removing a wall of the cell to improve the intrusion of the water to be treated into the foamed body and allow a microbe to propagate itself easily in the inner part of the foamed body, in which the mechanical strength of the foamed body (durability of a carrier) is restrained from being deteriorated by making the cell coarse and removing the wall of the cell and the density and size of which are controlled so that the microbe-immobilized carrier for treating water can be fluidized in an aeration tank or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The microbe-immobilized carrier for treating water consists of the foamed body of a polyurethane resin. A polymer particle is dispersed in the foamed body of the polyurethane resin. The wall of the cell is removed. The number of cells is 15-50 pieces/25 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
