<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of increasing the number of times of rewriting data in an optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: In this optical disk device, laser power is changed at a plurality of stages to try writing in the trial-writing area 16 of the optical disk 15, and in an OPC for obtaining optimal laser power based on its result, two types of laser power change patterns are prepared to be alternately used. Thus, as compared with a conventional case where the sector having large damage by trial writing is fixed, the number of times of executing OPC is increased, and the number of times of rewriting data is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
