<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To structure a system that realizes active music appreciation, providing a novel sound space where an element of passive music therapy wherein music is appreciated and an element of active music therapy, wherein a sound is handled are merged. <P>SOLUTION: Mat switches and sensors arranged on a floor surface in, for example, a two-dimensional matrix are pressed by a wheelchair etc. to generate ON and OFF information of each mat, which is applied to a musical sound controller, such as a MIDI controller to generate a musical sound control signal like a MIDI signal, which is sent out to a sound source device, such as a MIDI sound source to control a musical piece.
