A sliding module for a portable terminal (100) which has a first housing (101) and a second housing (102) sliding on the first housing (101) is disclosed, the sliding module slidably coupling the first and second housings (101,102). The sliding module includes a sliding plate (201) mounted on a surface of the first housing (101); at least one guide rod (221) mounted on a surface of the second housing (102) and slidably coupled to the sliding plate (201), the guide rod (221) being extended in the longitudinal direction of the second housing (102); at least one first guide rib (217) formed on the sliding plate (201); and at least one second guide rib (223) formed on the surface of the second housing (102), wherein the second guide rib (223) is slidably engaged with the first guide rib (217), and maintains at least partial engagement with the first guide rib (217) within a sliding range of the second housing (102).
