<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexographic printing original plate for newspapers that can be developed with an aqueous developer solution, has durability with respect to water-based ink, facilitates increase in developing rate and has mechanical strength and elongation enduring high-speed printing. <P>SOLUTION: (1) The photosensitive resin laminate comprises at least a support, a photosensitive resin layer, an IR ablation layer and a cover film and is characterized in that the support is a metal, and that the photosensitive resin layer has a thickness of no larger than 1,000 μm. (2) The photosensitive resin laminate described in (1) is an original plate for newspaper printing. (3) The photosensitive resin layer of the photosensitive resin laminate described in (1) contains a hydrophobic polymer obtained from a water-dispersed latex. (4) The photosensitive resin laminate described in (1) has an organic polymer layer between the IR ablation layer and the cover film.
