PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulating partition wall capable of providing excellent sound insulating performance by suppressing a coincidence effect. SOLUTION: This partition wall comprises one side surface material A and the other side surface material B facing each other with an intermediate hollow layer disposed therebetween and constructed for partitioning an internal space of a building. The surface material A is formed by stacking an ordinary gypsum board and a high density gypsum board heavier than the ordinary gypsum board.
