<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which can detect correct signals by preventing the incidence of flare light to the light receiving area. <P>SOLUTION: The light receiving area is formed on a photodetector 9 except the area receiving the flare light 86 generated by the objective lens 25 and reflected on the information recording surface of an optical recording medium 26. Thus the incidence of the flare light 86 to the light receiving area is prevented. This optical pickup can prevent errors in the tracking signals and detect correct tracking error signals by preventing the incidence of the flare light 86 to the light receiving area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
