<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate a rib image from a chest photography image. <P>SOLUTION: The rib image 200 is generated by extracting pixel value components contributing to the rib from the pixel values of pixels constituting the chest photography image 100, and a rib crossing part where the plurality of ribs are overlapped and photographed is detected from a rib area on the rib image 200. After normalizing the rib image 200 so that the positions of the rib crossing parts detected in the plurality of chest photography images 100 match in all of the plurality of rib images, the pixel value of the rib image is analyzed by using a statistical method for the normalized rib image 200, and a rib estimated image 120 for which the pixel value of the rib part of the chest photography image 110 in which a prescribed object is photographed is estimated is generated by utilizing an analyzed result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
