PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installing construction method of a rotating machine capable of improving high positioning accuracy, safety for holding a load and safety of work by preventing slipping-out of support of the rotating machine by dispensing with a temporary adjusting stand by adopting a screw jack having the predetermined stroke length. SOLUTION: This installing construction method of the rotating machine having a stator and a rotor is characterized by installing the rotating machine by adjusting a gap between the stator and the rotor by lowering the rotor in response to its lowering by lowering the stator stepwise little by little by the respective screw jacks by supporting the stator from below by using a plurality of screw jacks having the predetermined stroke length by suspending and supporting the rotor by a suspending means in a state of inserting the rotor into the stator.
