The present invention relates to a process of liquefying starch-containing material, with a bacterial alpha-amylase at a temperature in the range from 65-75° C. for 1 to 2 hours. The invention also relates to a process of producing a fermentation product, preferably ethanol, using the liquefaction process of the invention. |
