PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Braille engraving machine in which an engraving pin can be arranged quickly at a predetermined position of a pin positioning plate and complication can be reduced. SOLUTION: The Braille engraving machine comprises a pin positioning plate (1) where a single character section is formed by making through holes at a plurality of dot positions and a plurality of single character sections are arranged in the direction for linking Braille, engraving pins (9) arranged in all through holes, a base (31) arranged under the pin positioning plate while spaced apart therefrom, and a slide plate (37) arranged on the base for each group of three dot positions in correspondence with the dot positions wherein the slide plate has a convex (37a, 37b, 37c) and a concave (37d, 37e) for determining advance and retract of the engraving pins arranged in the through holes in a group in the upper surface opposing the engraving pins and can move in the length direction of the upper surface.
