摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which wiring is hard to be disconnected by reducing a level difference at least on the surface of a frame area. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal panel with first and second transparent substrates stuck to each other by a sealant: first wiring 18a, a gate insulating film 22 which covers the first wiring 18a and a first transparent substrate 11, second wiring 18b on the gate insulating film 22 and positioned between the gate insulating film 22 and the first wiring 18a, second wiring 18b and a protection film 26 which covers the gate insulating film 22 are placed at positions with prescribed intervals and laminated in the frame area 17 which is the surface opposite to the first transparent substrate 11 and a second transparent substrate and outside a display area 16 in order from the side of the first transparent substrate 11; a recessed part 22a is formed between the gate insulating film 22 and the first wiring 18a; and second wiring 18b is provided so as to fill the recessed part 22a in a terminal area 19 which is a part of the frame area 17.
