PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin depositing machine for efficiently storing coins. SOLUTION: The machine comprises a separating and supplying means 5 separating and carrying inputted coins; an identification means 11 identifying coins in carrying by the supplying means 5; sorting means 13a, 13b, 13c sorting the true coins identified that they are receivable on the basis of the identification result from the identification means 11; a plurality of temporary storing means 21a, 21b, 21c temporarily storing the coins sorted by the sorting means 13a, 13b, 13c; and a plurality of storage means 24a, 24b, 24c receiving and storing the coins stored in the plurality of temporary storing means 21a, 21b, 21c. The machine further comprises a control means 26 distributing true coins among the coins inputted to the supplying means 5 into the plurality of storing means 21a, 21b, 21c to temporarily store them with a mixture of denominations, and then storing them with the mixture of denominations in each of the storage means 24a, 24b, 24c corresponding to the plurality of storing means 21a, 21b and 21c, respectively.
