<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantifying the appearance frequency of birds of prey even when such environment conditions as ridges and valleys or such investigation conditions as the observation time of an investigator are all different, and to provide a system and a program for executing the quantification method by a computer. <P>SOLUTION: In this quantification method, the visual field ranges and observation time of a plurality of investigators for every meshes obtained by dividing an investigation target region are inputted, whether or not the mesh is a range where only sky is viewed and whether or not the mesh is an integral visual field range where both sky and the surface of a mountain are viewed and the cumulative observation time of the mesh is derived, and the appearance frequency is divided by the cumulative observation time, thereby calculating the appearance frequency for every mesh. In this method, any invisible visual range is not included in the frequency calculation region so that the range can be prevented from being erroneously decided as an insignificant range. Also, it is possible to decide whether or not the range is significant under the consideration of observation conditions. Furthermore, it is possible to preliminarily decide a plurality of observation spots suitable for the minimum number of investigators to observe the observation region without omission by displaying the visual field range for every observation spot. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
