PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To put maintenance equipment including a battery in a concentrated arrangement on the rear body opened and closed with a hood to facilitate cost cutdown and maintenance work. SOLUTION: A recession 23 is formed on the front side of a counter weight 19 disposed on the rear end of an upper swing body 2, the recession 23 being formed to penetrate vertically. The battery 24 is housed in the recession 23 in a state where the weight of the battery 24 is supported by a body frame 7, so that maintenance work is carried out on the maintenance equipment including the battery 24 simultaneously while the hood 15 is kept open.
