<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device suitable for observing meibomian glands. <P>SOLUTION: This observation device for meibomian glands includes: a handle part 1 having a light guide means 5 for suitably guiding light of a light source 3; and an illuminating part adapted to introduce the light from the light guide means 5 into a fine cylindrical member 6 extended forward from the tip of the handle part 1 and applying the light to the side of the member 6. The illuminating part is formed to be inserted in the back of a turned over eyelid and support the turned over state. The illuminating part is placed at the back of the turned-over eyelid to support that part, whereby meibomian glands are illuminated from the back of the eyelid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
