A fuel cell (10) with an anode side (12), has a hydrogen inlet (14, 15) and a hydrogen gas outlet (16). The input side hydrogen tube (14, 15) is linked to the output side (16) via a return tube (17). A pump (18, 19) drives hydrogen from the output tube (16) to the input tube (14, 15). The pump comprises a suction jet (18) and a compressor (19).
