SPEECH RECOGNITION DEVICE AND SPEECH RECOGNITION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech recognition device that can output possibilities of recognition units such as words representing speech contents in the form of probabilities and surely improve speech recognition performance as compared with the conventional method using a sound model such as a hidden Markov model; and also to provide a speech recognition method. SOLUTION: As for a received speech signal, a likelihood of a conventional sound model is taken in the regression function of a penalized logistic regression machine (PLRM); the coefficient parameter W and the hyperparameterΛof the PLRM are learnt and optimized; and those parameters are used to compute predicted probability of a recognition unit representing utterance contents of a speech signal.
