METHOD FOR PRODUCING EMULSION COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of imparting a satisfactory effect of a silicone compound to an emulsion composition containing a cationic surfactant and silicone without causing trouble to the storage stability of the emulsion composition. SOLUTION: The method for producing the emulsion composition comprises: a step (1) of heating the cationic surfactant (a) to its gel-liquid crystal transition temperature t1 (°C) or higher; a step (2) of mixing the water of t1-100°C with the heated cationic surfactant (a) obtained at the step (1); a step (3) of cooling the mixture obtained at the step (2) to the temperature lower than t1 (°C); and a step (4) of mixing the following silicone emulsion (b) with the mixture obtained at the step (3).
