<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line head which enables skew correction to be carried out simply, and an image forming apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of light emitting elements 63 are mounted on a substrate 62 and fixed together with an SLA 65 to a housing (holder) 60, whereby the line head is constructed. Positioning pins are set at both ends of the line head, which are inserted into openings 88 formed in fixing parts 87 of a jig 85 for adjustment. One of the positioning pins is fixed, and the other can be moved by a moving member in a sub-scanning direction. Position adjustment of the line head is carried out by moving the positioning pin in the sub-scanning direction while making the one positioning pin a reference so that a line connecting the reference pins of both ends becomes parallel to a scanning line which connects an arrangement of imaging spots formed by the light emitting elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
