PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing device capable of processing data within a predetermined period and restraining a large-scale buffer memory. SOLUTION: The data processing device for processing data in multiple times of processing steps provides a processing rate test section 72 for monitoring delay on progress conditions of the steps, a timer 73, a processing rate setting register 74, and a displacement processing section 77 for shortening processing time in an image processing step by changing executed processing contents when the delay on the progress conditions is determined to exceed a permissible range for a predesignated progress plan (executing time) at the basis of monitoring results.
