<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurization control method of an exhaust emission control system and the exhaust emission control system, capable of maintaining a state of the desulfurization target temperature or more by surely making an NOx purifying catalyst device reach the desulfurization target temperature even in transitional operation while restraining exhaust of unburnt fuel in the atmosphere in desulfurization control in the exhaust emission control system having the NOx purifying catalyst device for carrying an NOx purifying catalyst for purifying NOx in exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: A required fresh air quantity Wac is calculated to the whole fuel quantity Wt being the sum of a temperature raising fuel quantity Wf and a fuel quantity Wn for engine output, and a target air quantity WaO in temperature raising control in the lean air-fuel ratio is corrected on the basis of the required fresh air quantity Wac, and the required fresh air quantity Wac is secured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
