PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pressure controller for a continuously variable transmission for a vehicle capable of preventing overshoot and undershoot of oil pressure when achieving the maximum or minimum speed change ratio. SOLUTION: This oil pressure controller is provided with a vehicle information detection means including an actual displacement amount acquiring means 204 for acquiring amount of actual displacement of either of a driving side pulley and a driven side pulley, a target displacement amount setting means 203 for setting target amount of displacement of the pulley on one side based on vehicle information when changing speed to speed change limit, an oil pressure abrupt change amount inferring means 208 for inferring amount of abrupt change of oil pressure caused almost at the end of speed change from amount of coming-in and coming-out of hydraulic fluid into/out of an oil chamber obtained from the amount of actual displacement of the pulley on one side and modulus of elasticity of volume of hydraulic fluid, and a compensation means 210 for compensating an oil pressure order value by the inferred amount of abrupt change of oil pressure when the amount of actual displacement reaches a predetermined ratioα<SB>0</SB>set for the target amount of displacement in advance.
