PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the misdetection of a wrong-direction traveling vehicle, in a traffic information processor, a vehicle-detecting device, a traffic information system and a traffic information processing method which can detect a wrong-direction traveling vehicle. SOLUTION: On the basis of a vehicle detection signal outputted from a vehicle-detection sensor 11 installed on a road on which the traveling direction of the vehicle is predetermined; a traveling parameter showing the passing state of the vehicle passing through the vehicle detection sensor 11 is calculated; and reverse-traveling vehicle detection processing is performed which detects a wrong-direction traveling vehicle traveling in a direction wrong-direction to the traveling direction of the vehicle based on the vehicle detection signal wherein whether a traffic jam has been developed is determined based on the value of the traveling parameter before performing the detection processing of the wrong-direction traveling vehicle, and the wrong-direction traveling vehicle detection processing is performed when it is determined that no traffic jam has been developed.
