METHOD FOR PRODUCING DIMER OR POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production with which the objective substance is inexpensively produced without disposing a manganese peroxidase from the reaction system and the polymerization is carried out by precisely controlling conditions in order to efficiently obtain a specific dimer or a specific polymer in stable yield when a polymerization reaction is conducted by using trivalent manganese obtained by actions of the manganese peroxidase immobilized on a carrier. SOLUTION: The method for producing the dimer or the polymer comprises the following steps: a first step of making an aqueous solvent containing an oxidizing agent and divalent manganese flow through a column filled with the carrier immobilizing the manganese peroxidase and oxidizing the divalent manganese into the trivalent manganese; a second step of measuring the feed rate of the aqueous solvent containing the trivalent manganese to a reactor and the concentration of the trivalent manganese and feeding the aqueous solvent containing the trivalent manganese to the reactor while measuring the feed rate of the trivalent manganese; a third step of feeding a substrate in an amount regulated on the basis of the feed rate of the trivalent manganese to the reactor; and a fourth step of polymerizing the substrate in the presence of the trivalent manganese in the reactor and affording the dimer or polymer.
