The invention relates to an insertion head for medical or pharmaceutical applications, comprising: e) a base (1, 2) with a lower side (U) which can b e placed on organic tissue, f) an insertion device (5), movably received by th e base (1, 2), which can be inserted into the tissue, g) said insertion device (5) being movable in relation to the base (1, 2) from a protected position i n which a free end of the insertion device (5) is recessed from the lower side (U) of the base (1, 2) to an insertion position in which the free end projec ts beyond the lower side (U), h) and a receptacle (14), open towards the lower side (U) of the base (1, 2) and detachable from the base (1, 2), which receives at least the free end of the insertion device (5) in its protected position.
