PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To image a focused image regardless of whether magnification is low or high, without changing a lens when changing the magnification and without requiring time and labor of detaching and attaching a cap. SOLUTION: A magnifying and imaging device includes an imaging device (5) such that the observation hole (3) of a dome-shaped imaging head (2) formed on the imaging optical axis (X) is brought into contact with the surface of an observation object and the image of the observation object made incident from the observation hole (3) is magnified by a magnifying lens (7) and the image is picked up. The device also includes a magnification adjustment mechanism (4) such that the magnifying lens (7) is attached to a rotation body (8) having a rotary shaft (Z<SB>1</SB>), which is perpendicular to the imaging optical axis (X), and the magnifying lens (7) is moved to a low-magnification imaging position (P<SB>L</SB>) and a high-magnification imaging position (P<SB>H</SB>) by rotating the rotation body (8) by 180°. A high-magnification imaging observation hole (12) with a diameter smaller than the observation hole (3) formed in the imaging head (2) is moved forward or backward so as to cover the observation hole (3) of the imaging head (2) linked with the rotation body (8).
