STARTING METHOD AND NAVIGATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up starting of a computer system. SOLUTION: An in-executing memory image on a main storage device is divided in OS, AP or AP group units and is stored in an auxiliary storage device, and the respective divided in-executing memory images are transferred onto the main storage device in parallel in time of the starting. Starting processing using the memory image and starting processing not using the memory image can be selected according to each program. Starting processing by transferring the memory image to the main storage device and starting processing by performing execution on the auxiliary storage device without performing the transfer to the main storage device can be selected according to each the program.
