摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Gaq3 giving a lower drive-starting electric voltage, and produced stably and at a low cost in an industrial scale, since an organic EL element capable of being driven at an especially low drive-starting electric voltage and an organic EL material capable of achieving the same are required, and although the Gaq3 is already known to have a lower drive-starting electric voltage than that of an Alq3 which is an analog of the Gaq3. SOLUTION: This organic EL material consists of tris(8-oxyquinolinolato)galium characterized by having≤0.05 g/L solubility toward toluene under a normal pressure at 25°C. The method for producing the organic EL material is characterized by comprising a first process of holding the tris(8-oxyquinolinolato)galium having >0.5 g/L solubility toward toluene as the raw material under a nitrogen or argon atmosphere at≥360°C and <420°C temperature for≥5 min, and a second process of sublimating afterwards.
