PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed olefin-based resin sheet which is excellent in heat resistance and mechanical strength, can be thermally formed into a state exactly fitting to a mold shape by suitably decreasing the thickness with compression force applied during the thermal forming, surely keeps the state fitting to the mold shape by suppressing the recovery amount of thickness even after the thermal forming, and can give a thermally formed article with a desired shape. SOLUTION: The foamed olefin-based resin sheet has a density of 0.05-0.2 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, fracture strength at 160°C of 0.08 MPa or higher, and an elongation at 160°C of 220% or higher. After 50% compression at 190°C, the thickness loss rate of the resin sheet is 40-80%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
