The conductor (100) is made of a metal strip and has a first distal region (110) with a round cross-section. A second region (111) extending from the first distal region has a rated breaking point (113). The conductor is flat in the lateral direction, up to the breaking point. The breaking point is formed from a loop-shaped bend in the metal strip. Independent claims are included for an overpressure disconnecting device for protecting a capacitor winding, and for a potted capacitor.
