An FM(Frequency Modulation) transmitter is provided to largely cut down the number of internal elements and external elements of an IC(Integrated Circuit) for the FM transmitter, therefore a manufacturing cost of a product is curtailed while the manufactured FM transmitter is tremendously reduced in size. A signal synthesizer(100) synthesizes a right audio signal and a left audio signal into one stereo signal by using a stereo carrier signal and a pilot signal, and outputs the synthesized stereo signal. A frequency synthesizer(300) modulates the synthesized stereo signal to the carrier signal to output the modulated signal, by using a reference signal. A signal generator(200) generates the stereo carrier signal, the pilot signal, and the reference signal to provide the generated signals. A power control block(500) selectively cuts off power of the signal synthesizer(100), the frequency synthesizer(300), and the signal generator(200).
