<p>A milling head (10) for a rotary tool (90), which is preferably utilized to process, prepare,or otherwise impart a desired finish to a workpiece (100), preferably an end portionof a tube. In a preferred embodiment, the milling head includes at least threedifferent cutting or milling surfaces each capable of performing a distinctoperation on a workpiece. In one embodiment, the milling head includes a) a membranemilling and/or outer diameter tube film removal element (40); b) a beveling element(50) capable of imparting a bevel to the tube end; and c) an inner diameter tubefilm removal element (30). In yet a further embodiment, outer diameter tube filmremoval elements or blades (210) are provided having a curved or rounded cuttingor milling edge (212) which can be utilized especially in milling operations havingclose quarters. In a preferred embodiment, the milling head outer diameter cuttingblades (210) are provided with elongated, slotted bores (224).</p> |
