<p>A method for converting an SMS(Short Message Service) message sent through a mobile communication network and a system therefor are provided to convert a short message into a decorated coordination message without a user's separate action or without upgrading receiving/originating terminals, therefore a coordination service is realized at low cost. An HLR(Home Location Register)(150) stores/manages location information of subscriber MSs(Mobile Stations)(110) and SMS profiles related to subscriber information, information indicating whether a coordination service for decorating a short message is registered, and service attributes. A PCX/MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(130) receives the SMS profiles to store the received profiles in case of location registration of an originating one of the terminals(110), and records the profiles in an SMDPP(Short Message Deliver Point to Point) message if an SMS message is originated, to deliver the recorded message to an SMSC(SMS Center)(160). If coordination service registration is set within the profiles, the SMSC(160) records attribute information of a coordination service in a deliver message to deliver the message to message conversion centers(170,180). The message conversion centers(170,180) decorate the short message based on the attribute information to convert into a coordination message, and transmit the coordination message to a receiving-side terminal via the SMSC(160).</p> |
