<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article packing style monitoring system for suppressing ill effects on an image pick-up means mainly due to vibration in the travel of an article carrying means. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises: the freely travelling article carrying means having an article loading space; a reflecting mirror 30 set in opposition to the loading space for projecting an image picked-up range A; and a video camera 33 as the image pick-up means for picking up the image of the image picked-up range A projected by the reflecting mirror 30.
