<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular meter with novel and impactful rendering without using an expensive display device. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular meter includes a back light; a display portion disposed on a front surface side of a back light portion, and capable of reversing a negative and a positive at predetermined reversing speed; and a reverse controlling portion determining whether it is at the time of starting engine or on traveling. and reversing the negative and the positive of the display portion at reversing speed according to the determination result. Especially, the display portion is structured from a first polarizing plate 1 to which 1/2λ phase difference plate 11 structuring the design of letters or scales is affixed, and a second polarizing plate 2 disposed between the back light 3 and the first polarizing plate 1 or on a front surface side of the first polarizing plate 1. The reversed controlling portion is structured from a polarizing plate controlling means for changing a relationship between a deflection shaft of the first polarizing plate 1 and a deflection shaft of the second polartizing plate to a parallel state or an orthogonal state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
