PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device in which a reflectance adjusting structural body is arranged, and of which the light-emitting material hardly receives damages due to heat. SOLUTION: This is the light-emitting device which is provided with a light-emitting compound layer, an anode arranged on the viewer side in the light-emitting compound side in order to inject positive holes, and a cathode arranged on the side opposite to the viewer side in the light-emitting compound layer in order to inject electrons. This is the light-emitting device in which the reflectance adjusting structural body containing a light absorbing layer composed of fluoride or oxide of a metal with a low work function is arranged on the side opposite to the viewer side in the light-emitting compound layer.
