Air freshener products and methods for freshening air are disclosed. In someembodiments, the air freshening product may include a container for storingan air freshening composition that may contain compressed gas such as compressedair, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, inert gases, or carbon dioxide. When the containeris completely filled with propellant and air freshening composition, the airfreshening composition may be released from the container at a flow rate of fromabout 0.0001 grams/second to about 1.2 grams/second. The method of fresheningair, in certain embodiments, provides improved delivery of an air fresheningcomposition using a non-hydrocarbon propellant. If malodor counteractantsare used, the method may also provide a reduction in malodors.
