PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing circuit for enhancing a data processing speed in an optical disk system by improving the efficiency in the error correction processing of data recorded on an optical disk. SOLUTION: The signal processing circuit has a CD interface 29 that is connected to a CD decoder 13 for applying EFM-demodulation to data recorded on an optical disk and a buffer memory 17 for temporarily storing data and stores the data inputted from the CD decoder 13 into the predetermined area of the buffer memory 17, wherein a first error detector 33 to detect the error of the data in the process of storing the input data from the CD decoder 13 into the buffer memory 17 is disposed in the CD interface 29, and an error correction processing part 31 including a PQ decoding means 35 for correcting the error of the data stored in the buffer memory 17, and a second error detector 37 for detecting the error of the corrected data is provided.
