Paper trays for computer driven printer.

The computer paper tray system comprises a paper input tray and a paper output tray. The output tray is supported on the input tray cantilevered from a printer, the input tray comprising a horizontal paper shelf, a pair of upstanding sidewalls and a front endwall having a portion extending upwardly from the shelf. Each of the sidewalls has a cantilevered tray support arm extending rearwardly the arms each having an upper edge for supporting the paper output tray and a hook at a free end. At least one of the arms is resilient, each hook being receivable in a pocket in the printer to retain the input tray. At least one hook includes a bevelled camming surface which causes the hook to move horizontally against the bias of the resilient arm as the hooks are inserted into the pockets. The hooks also have a forwardly facing stop shoulder engageable with a rearwardly facing stop shoulder in the pocket to resist removal of the input tray from the printer. The tray support surfaces on the arms extend in horizontal planes.
