ILLUMINATOR AND PHOTOGRAPHING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminator for photography capable of easily changing an irradiation range of illumination light. SOLUTION: A holding member 16 is mounted across four actuators 18 consisting of piezoelectric elements on a base member 13. A light emitting diode 17 which outputs the illumination light for illuminating a subject is packaged on the front of the holding member 16. By elongating and contracting each of the actuators 18 in an arbitrary amount of elongation and contraction, the holding members 16 are inclined and the irradiation direction of the illumination light from the light emitting diode 17 can be changed in an arbitrary direction. The subject is irradiated with the illumination light of the light emitting diode 17 through a transparent protector 14 exposed on the front of a digital camera. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
