PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stamping material, which can hold ink enough and through which the ink can be uniformly and smoothly permeated to a stamping surface. SOLUTION: The stamping material 12 is housed in the holder 11 of a stamping member 10. The stamping material 12 is made of a resinous porous body integrally having a stamping surface part 15 with a sealing surface 14 and an ink holding part 16, which holds ink to supply to the stamping surface part 15. The average cell diameter of the stamping surface part 15 is set to be≥5μm and <50μm. The average cell diameter of the ink holding part 16 is set to be≥50μm and≤250μm. At the same time, the void volume of the stamping surface part 15 is set to be≥62% and <75%. The void volume of the ink holding part 16 is set to be≥75% and≤85%. Further, the Askar C hardness of the stamping surface part 15 is set to be≥40 and≤60. The Askar C hardness of the ink holding part 16 is preferably set to be≥5 and <40. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
