摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the atmospheric pressure detection value from being updated at a low level at the time of sudden deceleration of the internal combustion engine, in an atmospheric pressure detection device wherein the maximum value of the pressure in an air inlet pipe is used as a prediction value of the atmospheric pressure when the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the pressure in the air inlet pipe of an internal combustion engine is smaller or equal to a set value to determine an atmospheric pressure detection value from the prediction value. SOLUTION: The atmospheric pressure detection device is provided with a sudden deceleration determining means 27 of determining sudden deceleration and an atmospheric pressure detection value updating means 28 of updating an atmospheric pressure detection value. While the internal combustion engine performs continuous n combustion cycle, when it is judged that the value obtained by subtracting the maximum value from the minimum value of the pressure in the air inlet pipe in all combustion cycles is smaller than or equal to the set value, the sudden deceleration determining means 27 judges from the value reflecting a change in the pressure in the air inlet pipe in the n-th combustion cycle whether or not sudden deceleration operation of the internal combustion engine in the (n-1)th combustion cycle is performed. When it is judged by the means 27 that sudden deceleration is not performed, the means 28 updates the value, which is determined by applying predetermined correction processing to the maximum value of the pressure in the air inlet pipe detected in the n-th combustion cycle, as a new atmospheric pressure detection value.
